Welcome!

Haihaii, my name is Emily~. My pronouns are female singular universally translated (i.e. she/her for en_*, sie/ihr for de_DE, etc.). I am pretty weird and pretty gay, to be honest. I am a hobbyist programmer, systems administrator and musician. However, over the last year, my interests have increasingly shifted towards theoretical computer science and mathematics. I like free software and support freedom, online and offline, and privacy.
I have a special place in my heart for retro tech - I hope to get my hands on a VT340 soon. I am also currently concretising plans on building an 8-bit personal computer. Software minimalism is cozy as hell and I just love spending my day in GNU Emacs only.
I also enjoy travelling and camping as well as many sports related to that such as bouldering, climbing, hiking and mountaineering, regarding that I am currently working on a page documenting my most notable travels.

Software

This site is hosted on servers by manitu. It runs on the Apache webserver.
linfan.moe is running the nginx webserver. My gopherhole is powered by deppa. My blog is statically generated by Luke Smith's lb. The source code for this website is available here.

My favourite software are GNU Emacs, Pandoc and FFmpeg, in that order. As stated earlier, most of my computing takes place within Emacs, with Pandoc and FFmpeg regularly being of great aid.

Links

Other personal things run by me:
My personal gopherhole: gopher://linfan.moe
My blog (currently unmaintained): https://blog.jagudev.net

I am planning to turn this section into a place where I link to websites of my friends, however, I have not yet gotten around to asking them all for permission so here remains a note to remind myself of this not yet completed task.
